Welcome to hydrus.org.uk

This site offers material related to BSD systems, Linux and Windows, written by a sometime former fool (see below).

A technical journal documents the solutions found to the various challenges offered by open source software (let's face it, that's half the fun). There is also a page for downloading a couple of Windows utilities, plus a number of source programs for UNIX, the most complex of which is an implementation of a lightweight indexed file API, based on B trees.

An articles section offers comments on IT and non-IT matters. It's a bit thin right now and will likely stay that way.

For what might loosely be described as entertainment, there are a few JavaScript programs. See the Toys section.

Thanks for visiting; comments are always welcome to www@hydrus.org.uk
